Hub City Regional

FRC team 418 competed at the Hub City Regional in Lubbock from March 2nd to March 4th. After 11 qualifying rounds the team ranked 7th with a record of 8-3. Smart Camps 2016

LASA Robotics recently completed the 2016 series of annual SMART (Science, Math, Robotics, and Technology) Camps. These student run camps have served over 1000 Austin area students. This years campers built robots to navigate a maze and sumo wrestle other robots autonomously. We look forward to hosting more young engineers next year!

Texas Robot Roundup 2016

FRC Team 418 competed in the Texas Robot Roundup, which doubled as the Texas UIL State Championship. After 9 rounds of tough matches, team 418 was selected to join the eventual finalist alliance by teams 4587, 1296, and 5829. Congratulations to the winning alliance of teams 118, 148, 5242, and 5726 and everyone else who participated!

Squishy Circuits and Texas Museum of Science and Technology

Friday Night Bots

With well over 100 people in attendance, Friday Night Bots was a huge success. Several FLL teams scrimmaged informally, while nearby patrons engaged in squishy circuit activities, or lego gear instruction. Congratulations to the 2015 LASA High School Robotics Team for their 1st place award in the Electromechanical/Mechanical Design Category at the International Young Mind Awards Competition. LASA Robotics at 2016 AISD Showcase

LASA Robotics represented LASA High School at the 2016 AISD Showcase.    The showcase was held on Saturday, January 9, 2016, 9:00am to 12:00pm at the Palmer Events Center, 900 Barton Springs Road 78704.  Austin ISD invited prospective students, their families and the community to the High School Showcase.
