The LASA Robotics Association is a non-profit tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization composed of parents and community members. Formed to manage a growing team and the increasing complexity of its finances, the Association is what makes LASA Robotics possible. Financial decisions and accounting are carried out by the elected board of directors (with input from the team members and mentors) so that the team itself can focus on competitions and outreach. The Associations helps the team plan travel arrangements, including hotel reservations, travel logistics, and coordinating meals so that the travel experience is less stressful and more fun. The Association also applies for grants from a variety of companies and corporations, allowing us to fund competition and outreach expenses.
