Offseason = Summer + Fall
The off-season runs from the conclusion of the spring FRC season through winter break. It is an opportunity for all members to continue important team business and skill development and for new students to experience team activities and determine if the team is for them. Performance demonstrated during off-season often earns a team member greater responsibility and leadership opportunities during the official season.
Overview
During off-season, members work on:
- educational outreach (see S.M.A.R.T. camps)
- skills training workshops
- 1-2 off-season game simulations
- member recruitment
- team building
- fundraising
Schedule
Summer
- team workshops = 1x/week (Thursday, 6-9pm)
- S.M.A.R.T. camp volunteer options available (3 assorted Sundays)
- off-season competition event, if available (typically 1-2 summer events, 1-3 days each)
